We are proud to say that Arborez has been awarded a grant which has helped to fund a new wood chipper which accompanies us on most jobs, enabling us to complete jobs quicker, safer and with more professionalism. The chipper also enables Arborez to recycle arising’s which can then be used for biomass, paths, weed suppressants, play areas, horse ménages and much more.

The grant has been awarded by LEADER which is a grant programme from the European Union. LEADER is a French acronym which means “Liaison among Actors in Rural Economic Development’ and it is an EU funded rural grant programme designed to support local businesses.

LEADER is designed to support rural businesses, to create jobs and support the rural economy. To be successful, projects must contribute to one or more of LEADER’s six national priority areas. The national priority area we contribute to is ‘support for micro or small businesses’.
